Looking for a Paraşüt alternative

Bella Pre-Accounting is a single-tenant alternative to a shared cloud subscription: it runs on your own server, in a database that belongs to you, and adding users does not raise the cost. In exchange, automatic e-invoice submission, a native mobile app, receipt OCR and marketplace integration do not exist in the product today. If one of those four is non-negotiable for you, we are not the right choice — the section below spells out exactly when that is the case.

The third column makes no claim about Paraşüt: a competitor’s plans and capabilities change over time, and a sentence we write about them goes stale. We wrote the question to verify at their own source instead. Every row in the second column is verified against the code in this repository.

The real question is not “which brand”

Pre-accounting products look alike on the data-entry screens; issuing an invoice is issuing an invoice everywhere. The differences show up in three places: where the data lives, what the price does as the team grows, and whether an approved record can be changed afterwards. When you evaluate an alternative, chase the answers to those three rather than the screen tour — years later they are what determines the cost of leaving.

Single-tenant install versus shared subscription

The common pattern in shared cloud products is that all customers live in one database and records are filtered by a tenant identifier; isolation depends on the software behaving correctly. A single-tenant install has no such dependency, because another company’s record is simply not in that database. In exchange, updating and backing up the server sits with you; if we take on hosting instead, the database still belongs to a single business.

“Cannot be edited” and “can be proven” are not the same thing

Locking an approved document against editing is a start, but on its own it is not proof. In Bella every approved invoice carries the SHA-256 digest of the previous approved document, so a record that is altered, inserted or removed breaks the chain. A verification endpoint walks the chain end to end and reports damage document by document, and the Audit Certificate produced for a locked period fixes that period’s root outside the system once. That is the output you can hand to your accountant.

What is different here

  • Runs on your own server: a single-tenant install with a database that belongs to you — not a row-filtered slice of a pool shared with other companies
  • Adding users does not change the cost; there is no per-seat charge in the product, only what the hardware supports
  • An approved invoice cannot be edited: the server rejects update requests on approved documents
  • Approval and cancellation are separate endpoints behind separate permissions; a cancellation reason is mandatory and an empty one is rejected
  • Document numbers are unique at the database level — the same number cannot be written twice
  • A provable audit chain: every approved invoice carries the SHA-256 digest of the previous approved document
  • A verification endpoint walks the chain end to end and reports damage document by document, not as a single pass/fail
  • A locked period produces an Audit Certificate PDF: the chain root for that period, the document count and the totals
  • Explainable payment matching: for every unmatched bank or cash movement you get the reason it did not match, the closest candidate with its score, and one-click corrections
  • Permissions are per action, not per screen — “approve invoice” is a separate permission from editing
  • Field-level audit trail: every change is recorded as who–what–when, with the old and new value of the field

When Paraşüt is the better fit

This page is not here to talk you out of Paraşüt. If any of the following is non-negotiable for you, Bella Pre-Accounting is not the right choice today — these are real gaps, not marketing politeness.

If automatic e-invoice submission to the tax authority is required today

The product has an e-document provider architecture, but it is NOT wired to a real integrator: there is a fake provider used in development and an integrator skeleton, and submission does not work. If sending an invoice to the authority from the panel is a must-have today, pick a product that already does it.

If a native mobile app is required

The interface is a responsive web application used from the phone browser. There is no separate app installed from the App Store or Google Play. If you need to hand your field team a store-distributed app, this is a gap.

If OCR from a photo of a receipt is required

There is no OCR flow that reads the amount and date from a photographed receipt; expenses are entered by hand. At hundreds of receipts a month that is a real difference in time.

If out-of-the-box e-commerce or marketplace integration is required

There are no built-in connections to marketplaces or e-commerce platforms and no integration that pulls orders in automatically. If a large share of your sales comes from marketplaces, look for a product that ships with it.

If one install has to cover several companies, branches or warehouses

The product is designed as a single-tenant install: each company runs in its own installation with its own database. Managing several taxpayers from one panel, splitting by branch, and multi-warehouse or bin tracking do not exist today. If you serve many taxpayers, this design creates extra work for you.

If you do not want to deal with a server at all

The install can go on your own server, and we can take on hosting instead. But if you want neither — if you want to sign up and start today — a ready subscription service will have less friction for you.

Price, plans and document credits

The sticker price is only part of the total: per-seat pricing, per-document credits and the plan upgrade that arrives when you pass a record limit all move the number. The table below puts those line items side by side.

The price table is not published yet

The engine for this section is ready; only the numbers are missing. Publishing Paraşüt pricing on our site is a concrete claim whose accuracy we take on, and prices change often. So a figure only goes in together with a verifiable link to the published list price; until then we show no estimate and no rounded guess here. Our own price is blank too: the commercial decision has not been announced.

Frequently asked questions

Can I migrate my data from Paraşüt?

Customer and product lists can be imported as CSV. Full invoice history is not migrated directly; the usual approach is to start from opening balances and enter open invoices separately. Which lists your current product can export, and in what format, is the main factor in how long a migration takes.

If you cannot submit e-invoices, how do I issue one?

The invoice is created, calculated, approved and printed as a server-generated PDF on your letterhead, and it posts to the customer account, stock and reports. What is missing is sending the document to the tax authority from the panel — that does not work today. If you are required to issue e-invoices, submission has to happen through another channel.

Does the number of users really not affect the price?

There is no per-seat charge in the product. The install belongs to one business and the hardware decides how many users you define, so giving read-only access to warehouse or field staff does not create a licence cost.

What if I do not have a server?

We can take on hosting. The install still belongs to one business and runs in its own database, so server maintenance moves to us while the shared-database problem still does not arise.
